CHPD background information
The Centre for High Performance Development (CHPD) is a leadership development consultancy that was founded in 1996.
In the 12 years since it was launched CHPD has:
- grown from the four initial founders to more than 100 full-time staff and 200 external consultants around the globe
- supported more than 100 organisations
- worked in over 25 countries around the world
- set up its own offices in US, Singapore, India and Australia
Up to forty per cent of an organisation’s performance can be attributed directly to its leaders.
CHPD’s belief is that by developing leaders in an organisation you can build and sustain a higher level of performance. It has assessed, coached, developed and inspired thousands of people to improve performance by leading others more effectively.
CHPD’s leadership work is built on over 30 years of research, undertaken with business and academic partners, such as the London Business School and Harvard University.
Through its research, CHPD has developed its own proven method for assessing leaders at all levels in an organisation. This measurement is based on eleven High Performance Behaviours that CHPD has developed and established as global standards for defining outstanding leadership in dynamic, competitive and complex business environments.
The breadth of CHPD’s work now means that it has a database of more than 12,000 leadership profiles, which enables true benchmarking. CHPD’s clients can know, not only how good their own people are, but how they rate against others in the wider business community.
In terms of products, CHPD offers expertise and practical tools and techniques in the following areas:
