Press room 2007

Each year FORTUNE magazine publishes a list of the Global Top Companies for Leaders.  When the judges looked at the global top companies and compared them with 530 other companies they found one characteristic that set them apart from the rest – they make leadership a critical part of the organisational structure.

Leadership development consultancy, the Centre for High Performance Development (CHPD), has appointed Birthe Mester as managing director business development.  Birthe was formerly a senior client director at CHPD.

Leadership development consultancy, the Centre for High Performance Development (CHPD), has appointed Carol Evans as human resources director.  Carol was formerly HR director at WCI plc, a consulting and technology company and joined CHPD on 8 May 2007.

The Centre for High Performance Development (CHPD) today launched its online Personal Stress Questionnaire (PSQ).  Unlike many stress tests which tell you whether or not you are stressed, the new CHPD PSQ measures the symptoms you will typically experience when you become stressed in the future.  It offers an insight into how stress affects you and supports a preventative approach to stress management.

Julia Payne, CEO of The Centre for High Performance Development, is one of the keynote speakers at the second annual Business Leadership Women in Technology Conference on 5th July 2007 in London.  Julia will be presenting on the topic of developing leaders to an audience of senior executives, entrepreneurs and policy makers.  For more information, visit the conference website http://www.lwtforum.com.
