Retooling for recovery

In June 2009, CHPD gathered together leading figures in HR to discuss the key issue of retooling for recovery post recession. Helen Williams, features editor at Personnel Today, joined the discussion and a selection of the views expressed were published in the magazine this month (July 2009).

The participants tackled issues such as maintaining employee engagement, handling cost reduction exercises and the crucial issue of what type of leaders their organisations will need in the future.  They also stressed the importance of ensuring that employer and consumer brand values continue to be aligned.
