CHPD launches career transition service (27.04.09)
Leadership development consultancy, the Centre for High Performance Development (CHPD), has brought together its services in the area of career transition under a new offering called Bridges.
Jim Tapper, managing director at CHPD, explains what prompted Bridges: “Our insights into leadership capabilities and behaviours give us a great understanding of what makes a successful transition. Clearly with redundancies and restructuring on the increase, we’re seeing increased demand from our clients for these kinds of services and it made sense to create an integrated solution that we can implement quickly and effectively.
“Most businesses recognise the importance of their ‘employer brand’, even when times are tough. When people feel they are treated fairly in a period of downsizing, they are more likely to recommend their employer to friends and on-the-job performance of staff who remain improves.”
Bridges is a package of tools that not only helps those moving on improve their chances of getting a new job, but also ensures it’s the right job for them. The service includes three key elements:
- Coaching
- Facilitated group sessions
- On-line support
