New MD appointed at CHPD (16.12.08)

Leadership development consultancy, the Centre for High Performance Development (CHPD), has appointed Jim Tapper as managing director.  Jim joins CHPD from Logica plc where he was MD of the world-wide energy and utilities practice.

Jim brings a deep understanding of leadership to CHPD.  He has developed and led consultancies in the UK and the US.  Most recently he ran a dispersed international practice of around 3,000 people at Logica.  Previously Jim was associate partner at Accenture leading teams around the world.  He begins the role of MD at CHPD full time from 1 February 2009.

Jim outlines his plans: “CHPD has a pivotal role to play in helping businesses survive and prosper in these difficult times.

At the heart of CHPD’s offering is a desire for people to achieve their full potential. It’s never been more crucial to get the most out of the people businesses employ to deliver real bottom line results and retain the best performers.  That’s exactly what CHPD is all about.

“There is a very committed team here at CHPD and I’m really looking forward to taking the company forward to achieve new growth and success.”

Jim began his working life in the US as a lawyer, but has spent the last 11 years based in the UK, working across Europe, North America and the Middle East.

Chris Parry, CEO of CHPD, will return to her role as chairman of CHPD in 2009. Chris comments: “I am delighted to welcome Jim to CHPD. I believe that with Jim’s history and consulting background, we are extremely well positioned to build on our solid foundations and take our organisation forward to the next stage of development.”
