Managing talent through turbulent times (14.07.08)
The Centre for High Performance Development will present a leadership seminar on why the development and investment in leaders is critical to sustaining business performance during periods of downsizing and compromised growth.
Founder of the Centre, Dr Tony Cockerill, will present on the behaviours proven to positively contribute to business performance and how to develop these behaviours in your people.
In addition to experts from CHPD, speakers at the CHPD seminar include:
- Sally Bonneywell, vice president, organisation development, global manufacturing and supply from GlaxoSmithKline
- Bob Hughes, talent and employee engagement manager, Network Rail
Reflecting on the challenges faced by organisations today, Dr Cockerill has commented:
"When I began my research in this area, I wanted to find out what it is about leaders that makes the difference between high performing and average performing organisations. Today's global business environment does not allow for trial and error when it comes to leadership. Organisations must get it right the first time."
This seminar will be held at No 1 Poultry, London EC2R 8JR on Friday 26 September 2008.
The seminar starts at 9.30 am (9.00 am for coffee) and will conclude with a buffet lunch at 12.30.
