Dr Tony Cockerill to visit India (15.09.2008)

Dr.Tony Cockerill, the globally renowned leadership and organisational development expert, and founder of CHPD UK (Centre for High Performance Development), will be visiting India between September 14-20th. As a part of his visit, InspireOne has partnered with the National HRD Network to host special presentations by Dr. Cockerill in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore on: High performance leadership: rapid development and deployment across organisations.

Owing to accelerated pace of growth in the Indian economy, people have been catapulted into roles because of need rather than their ability to perform. As a result, leadership development has become a significant need in the corporate sector and the presentation will address the challenges in the Indian context.

Dr. Cockerill BA (Hons), MSc, PhD, Cert Ed, FRSA is globally recognised as a leading expert in leadership, team and organisational development. Whilst at the London Business School he led major international research into the characteristics that distinguish leaders, teams and organisations that perform to outstanding levels in dynamic and competitive environments.

Working with his research partners in the US and drawing upon primary research into leadership competency and development, Dr. Cockerill founded CHPD in 1995.  It was established to apply the research, which Dr. Cockerill had led, to organisations across the world.

He provides direction to CHPD’s ongoing research programme, which includes the identification of high potential leaders, the development of high performing cross-cultural teams and diversity in leadership. He also devotes time in conducting workshops and consulting in various industries including financial services, healthcare, government, communications and transportation.
