CHPD leadership research

Thirty years ago, we started our leadership research by asking the simple question - what makes some companies more successful than others?

We studied over 3,000 leaders and identified the eleven different characteristics that impact on organisational success. We named these High Performance Behaviours. Since then, we have collected over 12,000 leadership profiles and worked with companies across the world to improve their performance using this leadership research.

Our work now extends into team research and organisational research. We have developed tools such as our 360 Feedback tool and High Performance Team Inventory.

We use our research to objectively assess and develop the performance of leaders at all levels and provide organisations with comprehensive data about the health of their leadership. Our team research has led us to create a four stage process to effective team set-up and development. Read the team tactics article in our resource centre.

Our research underpins everything we do. This is how we assess performance and design solutions to turn leaders into the success stories of tomorrow.

Research at CHPD never stops.

We continue to develop new and innovative tools to measure leadership and assess and benchmark organisational performance.

We continue to forge links with business schools and universities to create leadership solutions that improve business performance. We have worked with London Business School, Princeton University and, more recently, Drasgow Consultancy Group, a US-based human resource assessment specialist.
